Silverwood Golf Club, established in 1984 is a picturesque 18 hole parkland course conveniently located on the outskirts of Lurgan and close to Junction 10 of the M1 Motorway.
It originally consisted of a small group of members playing in a society that now has developed into an up and coming club attracting increasing numbers of members and visitors each year. In the summer of 2009 the Silverwood Golf Club celebrated its 25th Anniversary with huge success.
Silverwood Golf Club has a wide range of facilities to offer in addition to the popular restaurant and club house facilities. It’s a Par 72 18 Hole Golf course playing just under 7000 yards that tests all levels including some excellent holes offering a challenge to many. The Golf Club also offers a 9 Hole Par 3 course and Pitch and Putt for all to avail of. A large putting green and a 15 bay driving range enables all golfers to fully make use of the practice facilities on offer.
The golf club competes in Inter-Club GUI Competitions and has several notable successes. The club holds Saturday competitions for its members as well as official competitions every Wednesday during the summer.
The club has an established juvenile section who in recent years have had success in winning the Craigavon Junior Trophy.
